Rafal Wlazlo, The founder of Carp Angler, got hooked on fishing at five years old when he would fish the local waters with his buddies, using a bamboo stick, cheap line, and a worm found nearby. Over the years, his passion only continued to grow, and so did the size of the fish, his equipment collection, and the range of techniques he employed. After two decades of successful tournament fishing and carp angling in Poland, he moved to the United States. While he remained enthusiastic about carp angling, it became more of a special occasion than a lifestyle until several years ago when he needed to scratch that itch and get serious about carp angling once again.
One problem, as the carp angling community knows all too well, is that acquiring carp-specific equipment is tough here in the U.S., forcing many to source their gear from across the pond. So, Rafal Wlazlo decided to do something about it. Carp Angler was born out of two things: a lifelong devotion to carp angling and sheer necessity. He had plenty of experience running his other passion-based businesses, so starting Carp Angler was a natural next step. Since opening up shop, they’ve partnered with many local and European small businesses, and the community has welcomed them with open arms. We’re thrilled to finally offer a one-stop shop for all things carp, and we’re so grateful for your support!
